Quelle pochissime persone che ho incontrato, tutte Anziane, sono state comunque molto gentili e disponibili. Un uomo in particolare mi ha descritto a grossi capitoli la storia del paese e del suo declino. Si è molto lamentato sull'attuale gestione del sindaco, che a suo avviso ha accelerato questa diaspora. Visitarlo da un senso di abbandono e solitudine. Molte le case distrutte, semi fagocitate dal bosco, oppure abbandonate all'incuria. Credo che questa sia la fase che precede il totale abbandono di un nucleo abitato. Probabilmente comune a molti centri italiani montani. Un particolare curioso sono i moltissimi spaventapasseri sparsi per le strade. A quanto sembra deve esserci stata qualche rappresentazione di paese tempo fa. Ciò nonostante ho incontrato molti più manichini per le strade che persone in carne ed ossa. E questo ha reso il tutto ancora più spettrale. La buona notizia è che non sussiste alcun pericolo qualora vogliate visitarlo da soli. A meno che non abbiate paura dei lupi... Very small town now almost completely uninhabited. A real shame considering the beauty of the surrounding nature. Those very few people I met, all of them old, were still very kind and helpful. One man in particular described to me in great chapters the history of the country and its decline. He has greatly complained about the current management of the mayor, which he believes has accelerated this diaspora. Visit it with a sense of abandonment and solitude. Many houses were destroyed, seeds swallowed up by the woods, or abandoned to neglect. I believe this is the phase that precedes the total abandonment of an inhabited nucleus. Probably common to many Italian mountain centers. A curious detail are the many scarecrows scattered around the streets. Apparently there must have been some representation of country long ago. Nevertheless, I met many more street mannequins than people of flesh and blood. And this made it even more spooky. The good news is that there is no danger if you want to visit it alone. Unless you are afraid of wolves ...
