La città è situata alla confluenza del torrente Ardo e del fiume Piave, posizione difensiva strategica per la quale è stata protagonista nelle due guerre mondiali. Belluno è una cittadina molto bella, pulita e tranquilla. Molto belle le sue chiese, i suoi antichi palazzi, i ponti sul Piave e le antiche porte. Bella anche la fontana in piazza Duomo. E' sicuramente una città da visitare.
Belluno is currently the most inhabited municipality in the province and the seventh among the provincial capitals of the Veneto. The city is located at the confluence of the Ardo torrent and the Piave river, a strategic defensive position for which it was the protagonist in the two world wars. Belluno is a very beautiful, clean and peaceful town. Its churches, its ancient buildings, the bridges over the Piave and the ancient gates are very beautiful. The fountain in Piazza Duomo is also beautiful. It is definitely a city to visit.
