Una terrazza panoramica di incredibile fascino nonché punto di partenza di diverse escursioni. Si può facilmente raggiungere la vetta in funivia dal Passo San Pellegrino, per poi tornare a valle scendendo per 1 ora e mezza lungo una strada sterrata, fermarsi per una breve pausa sulle sponde del lago Cavia e risalire per il sentiero giallo-blu verso la zona delle Caviette. Di lì si fa ritorno verso la stazione a valle della funivia Col Margherita percorrendo una panoramica strada sterrata. Il Col Margherita é un imponente sperone di roccia che sovrasta il Passo San Pellegrino, un tavolato di porfido a 2.513 metri di quota nella catena di Bocche, la dorsale che separa la Valle di San Pellegrino dalla Valle del Travignolo (Bellamonte - Predazzo). La terrazza si raggiunge comodamente in funivia, per i più temerari anche a piedi o in inverno con gli sci d'alpinismo. Il versante settentrionale è ripido e dirupato, mentre quello meridionale digrada dolcemente verso Passo Valles (Lastei di Pradazzo) in una landa di ondulati costoni. Teatro di cruente battaglie durante il Primo Conflitto Mondiale a causa della posizione strategica e dominante sulla valle, il Col Margherita rimane uno dei punti panoramici più suggestivi di tutte le Dolomiti. Le montagne che si ammirano da lassù sono da capogiro: di fronte le Creste di Costabella, Cima Uomo, la Marmolada; più a destra le Cime d'Auta, Sorapiss, Pelmo, Civetta, Moiazza, Cima del Focobon e Mulaz; alle spalle svettano le spettacolari Pale di San Martino e verso sud ovest la lunga catena del Lagorai. Per orientarti meglio di fronte ad un tale spettacolo, lungo il sentiero di guerra che dal Col Margherita conduce a Cima Juribrutto, sono stati installati due pannelli che riportano informazioni sulle origini geologiche del luogo e sui nomi delle vette circostanti. I pannelli sono situati all'interno di due balconi panoramici realizzati con pietre naturali di porfido, uno posizionato verso il Passo San Pellegrino, l'altro verso le Pale di San Martino. Al ristorante: personale molto gentile ed ottimo cibo ben presentato... da gourmet anche le quantita'. "Above" ideal place to admire a splendid panorama.
