★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's hard to find coin laundry in Venice. Great spot. Easy to get to off a quick waterboat ride from Venice. Charming downtown area nearby. Detergent and softener included.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly and helpful staff, even helped us call a cab since our italian language skills aren't as great as we'd like them to be. Very clean, option to dry clean, has large machines and good value, we were able to wash and dry a week's worth of laundry for under $20.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ok English-speaking tourists, this is what you need to know. If you go during hours an attendant is there (I think 1030 - 1300) I'd assume they'd help you get laundry done, otherwise you have to figure out this system which isn't intuitive. This will hopefully help get you started.
(1) place your closes in machines 1-3 on the left or #4 (bulky items or large load on the far right) for wash, other 4 machines are for drying
(2) close the door and for wash machines twist the handle until door is locked completely, I think the tur will be is counterclockwise. Turn handle until it 'clicks' and you are certain the door is locked. I don't think dryer doors lock shut
(3) go to the money machine opposite from the front door and place required money. It takes 5 and 10 euro bills, coins, and says credit cards but I couldn't get cards to work. Won't take 20€ or higher bills. You'll insert your money then pick which machine to apply the credit to by pressing machines corresponding #. Door MUST be locked before applying credit, hense #1 & #2 above
(4) go back to the machine and select cycle type, for wash cycle types are displayed on laminated sheet above machines. All detergent, fabric softener, stain remover is injected into the machine during the cycle so don't put any additional in yourself.
(5) press start on the wash machine and you're good to go. Dryer has a little different input on machine but by the time you get the wash figured out the dryer will be straight forward.
