Beautiful town, welcoming, clean, I had never been there and I must say that everything is beautiful. I will definitely be back.

Alto Reno Terme is the new town born from the merger of Granaglione, a small mountain town at 780 meters above sea level and Porretta Terme, a spa town renowned even if in the last twenty years, those that were the attraction for visitors from all over Italy, as also documented from the Roman times, that is, the thermal baths, they suffered a sharp decline until they closed. But for some years a part of the establishments has reopened giving a signal of rebirth to these ancient spas which, if completely restored, would be an immense resource of natural and economic well-being both for those who live there and for those who come from outside. After all, water in the Upper Rhine is the first natural resource of the whole territory, so much so that it earned the 1st National Water Festival in 2015 and in 2017 it launched the second edition by the Municipal Administration led by Giuseppe Nanni. saw the participation of famous guests to talk about safeguarding this precious resource, well-being and the future where only she is the protagonist. Because here the water is another matter entirely! As soon as you arrive at the station in Porretta Terme, from the bridge named in July 2017 to Solomon Burke, you can look out and be enchanted to listen to its sweet and unmistakable noise, sometimes impetuous due to the abundant rains, but it is always nice to listen to that Rhine river that makes of Porretta a particular city. And you can find water everywhere by moving a few meters to the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Ponte where the river passes right under its bridge. And for a few kilometers between the green of villages and hamlets of Alto Reno Terme, what could be more beautiful than stopping to drink at a natural spring where the pure water of our mountains flows generously? Let's protect it and always defend it!
