Abbastanza defilata dai grandi agglomerati urbani, vive quindi di una propria atmosfera senza particolari influenze. Qui il toscano e' rimasto toscano, come il paesaggio che la circonda. A town in Tuscany that I appreciated for its tranquility and for having remained faithful to its own historical and cultural tradition. Fairly secluded from the large urban areas, it therefore has its own atmosphere without particular influences. Here the Tuscan remained Tuscan, like the landscape that surrounds it.
D	Davide Pizzi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Palazzo, forse disegnato da Bernardo Rossellino ma rimaneggiato nel 1900, si caratterizza per il portico a tre archi che poggiano su colonne di ordine ionico. La facciata, tutta in travertino, è aperta superiormente da quattro bifore e presenta una torre con orologio costruita in cotto. All'interno del portico la facciata risulta adornata da graffiti e dagli stemmi in pietra dei vari Podestà che vi dimorarono, oltre a quelli del Papa Pio II Piccolomini, della Provincia e del Comune di Pienza. All'interno del Palazzo, nella Sala del Consiglio, è presente un affresco di Scuola senese del '400 che raffigura la Madonna col Bambino e i Patroni di Pienza (San Vito, San Modesto e San Matteo). The Palace, perhaps designed by Bernardo Rossellino but remodeled in 1900, is characterized by the three-arched portico resting on Ionic columns. The facade, all in travertine, is open at the top by four mullioned windows and has a tower with a clock built in terracotta. Inside the portico the facade is adorned with graffiti and the stone coats of arms of the various Podestàs who lived there, in addition to those of Pope Pius II Piccolomini, of the Province and of the Municipality of Pienza. Inside the Palace, in the Council Room, there is a fresco of the Sienese School of the fifteenth century which depicts the Madonna with Child and the Patrons of Pienza (San Vito, San Modesto and San Matteo).

L ambiente suggestivo ci ha permesso di trascorrere una cerimonia molto commovente. E poi, tutto è filato liscio ? quindi è stato tutto perfetto. I have been for a wedding, the location is very characteristic, the reception room is really nice. The evocative environment allowed us to spend a very moving ceremony. And then, everything went smoothly ? so everything was perfect.

This medieval village is truly splendid, truly a gem in the Val d'Orcia. With its ancient buildings, the cathedral and stone alleys. Not to be missed!
