P	Patrizio Filippi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un bel paese, ma negli ultimi anni lasciato veramente a se stesso ed al degrado soprattutto i giardini pubblici, vero e proprio scempio di progettazione e realizzazione nonchè di manutenzione...stesso discorso per i marciapiedi di via G.Matteotti (strada principale) una vera corsa ad ostacoli fra pietre divelte e buche come voragini...stessa sorte è per alcune zone del paese completamente dimenticate da Dio...purtroppo il paese sembra prendere vita ormai negli ultimin15 giorni di agosto quando si concentrano eventi e festa patronale, per il resto dell'anno a parte la sagra della castagna e quella del tartufo il paese è prevalentemente morto...servirebbe una ventata di freschezza ed una netta e profonda rivalutazione di tutto il territorio per avere un paese all'avanguardia ed organizzato 365 giorni l'anno. Consiglio vivamente di visitare il centro storico, nel quale si trovano dei ristoranti niente male e passeggiare tra le montagne che circondano il paese. Beautiful town, rich in history and nestled in the mountains. I highly recommend visiting the historic center, where there are pretty good restaurants and walking in the mountains that surround the town.

Dolcemente dominato dalla Semprevisa, la montagna che da sempre lo protegge e se ne prende cura, offrendo i suoi ricchi frutti tra cui le castagne, le più buone e saporite della provincia e non solo. Altro vantaggio per la presenza di un verde intenso e di alberi di alto fusto: castagni, querce, lecci, carpini, faggi, ecc..., è di creare un microclima fresco, in particolar modo l'estate, rendendo la località invidiabile e, nei periodi di maggiore afa, un'oasi di refrigerio. Abitato già in epoca preistorica, conserva resti di mura pelasgiche e di infrastrutture di epoca Romana, vedi resti acquedotto della Fota a servizio della città fortificata di Norba. Sempre in località la Fota la vecchia abbazia di Val Visciolo, sec. XII un gioiello medievale. Il milleseiceto con il passaggio del Caravaggio ed il suo prezioso lascito "S. Francesco in meditazione sulla morte" costituiscono un momento di elevazione artistica notevole. Che dire poi del Papa della Rerum Novarun al secolo Leone XIII, proprio nativo di Carpineto dove si può ammirare ancora il palazzo. Che dire della pinacoteca degli arazzi del palio. Il borgo conserva in buona parte il suo aspetto medievale e passeggiando per le varie stradine si possono visitare le numerose chiese e nella parte più alta del borgo si può ammirare il palazzo Pecci. Carpineto Romano is located in the heart of the Lepini mountainous group, lying on two hills on the slopes of Mount Capreo on its top there is an iron cross placed by order of Pope Leo XIII born in this village. Peccato dopo 60 anni che frequento Carpineto è la prima volta che vede tanta incuria da parte dell' amministrazione. I found Carpineto in a pitiful condition, weeds and dirt along the streets perpendicular to the course, park near the elevator in a state of neglect. Too bad after 60 years of attending Carpineto it is the first time that I have seen so much neglect on the part of the administration.
