Fantastic mountain village

Vanoi and my heart since I have been working with a company in the area for many years. Even if I don't live in vain.

I am biased because I was born there but it is really the green heart of Trentino ... A small green paradise ideal for those seeking tranquility and unspoiled nature ...

The village is the heart of the mythical Vanoi valley, reserved, almost secret, a little wild in some places, a kingdom of waters that have marked its history, giving rise to interesting legends. At the bottom of the valley flows the homonymous torrent, on whose left bank there is a precious equipped area to give relief to the summer heat. The church in the center of the town is interesting, rebuilt in ancient times after the flood that had compromised the previous building at the bottom of the valley, of which it contains interesting elements. You enter the valley by crossing Mount Totoga with a long tunnel, once the scene of war posts that can still be visited. In the background, going up the stream, the unmistakable peak of Cauriol stands out, a mountain still strewn with the signs of that war of which it was the scene. The landscape rich environment that surrounds it offers the possibility of excursions of varying difficulty, but all with the charm of an intact nature, documented with professional effectiveness and artistic sensitivity by an exceptional photographer, Renato Orsingher, who with his images knows how to give involving the spirit of the valley that he knows, documents and loves in all its aspects (the photos can be seen in the FB WiVanoi group). Canal San Bovo is the center of the Ecomuseum that constantly offers interesting activities. Continuing in the direction of Casoria, where the valley closes, forest roads open leading to the mountain huts. Continuing in the direction of Passo Brocon, the summer kingdom of huts also equipped for the sale of local products and for catering, with a very short detour you can reach the ancient mill of Cainari, in a splendid panoramic position and still functional. In winter the valley, in addition to the snow-covered slopes of Passo Brocon, the valley allows the practice of ski mountaineering and fascinating excursions with craspe. If you need company ... there is no shortage of roe deer, red deer, foxes and hawks.
