Noi siamo abituati alle bellezze che abbiamo e non consideriamo più di tanto la storia millenaria che pervade il nostro paese e vediamo quasi solamente ciò che ci disturba o non ci piace. Anagni è bella ( potrebbe essere bellissima) piace, interessante e merita di essere visitata! In recent years I have had the opportunity to listen to many tourists who have spoken to me enthusiastically about Anagni, far above how we Anagnini are used to consider our town. We are accustomed to the beauties that we have and we do not consider much the millennial history that pervades our country and we see almost only what disturbs us or we do not like it. Anagni is beautiful (could be beautiful) like, interesting and worth a visit!

Il palazzo ha subito, nel tempo, continue trasformazioni. La geniale bravura, dell’architetto, fu quella di riuscire a organizzare gli edifici preesistenti senza distruggerli, ma li unificò e incorporò mediante la costruzione di un grande portico, costituito da arcate a tutto sesto molto ampie. L’edificio è formato dall’accostamento di due preesistenti strutture. La facciata principale è distinta da un voltone con otto ampi archi; l’altro lato, che dà sulla piazza su cui si svolgeva il mercato e si amministrava la giustizia, è abbellito da bifore e trifore e da una piccola loggia detta del Banditore. The Palazzo del Municipio is a building of considerable importance located on the central Strada Vittorio Emanuele. It has a very particular architecture which constitutes a unique example among the Italian municipal buildings. The building has undergone continuous changes over time. The architect's ingenious skill was to be able to organize the existing buildings without destroying them, but he unified and incorporated them through the construction of a large portico, consisting of very wide round arches. The building is formed by the juxtaposition of two pre-existing structures. The main facade is distinguished by a vault with eight large arches; the other side, which overlooks the square on which the market was held and justice was administered, is embellished with mullioned and triple lancet windows and a small loggia called the Auctioneer.

Vale la pena passarci un'intera giornata, tra una visita alla cattedrale e alla sua magnifica cripta, fino agli arcazzi e all'arco di porta cerere. Il comune con il suo complesso, è un vero gioiello. Anche il mangiare non è male ? A city rich in history, with many monuments and things to see. A small jewel of the Middle Ages, collected on a hill. It is worth spending a whole day, between a visit to the cathedral and its magnificent crypt, up to the arcazzi and the arch of porta cerere. The municipality with its complex is a real gem. Eating is also not bad ?

Troppo degrado, Anagni (causa i supermercati in Osteria della Fontana e in zona Casilina) purtroppo sta diventando una città morta.
