Che dire, io mi sono trovata bene soprattutto per il grande spirito di accoglienza delle persone di questo posto CONSIGLIATO! Maratea has just over 5000 inhabitants, overlooks the Tyrrhenian Sea, is rich in picturesque landscapes and is nicknamed "the Pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea. What can I say, I found myself well above all for the great welcoming spirit of the people of this place RECOMMENDED!

Posto meraviglioso, vista mozzafiato, sicuramente da visitare se si passa da Maratea ma , non fate come me, prestate attenzione all'ora di arrivo e tratrenetevi meno di un'ora per non avere brutte sorprese quando si va a pagare il parcheggio che é obbligatorio a pagamento. Le auto € 5 ad ora ed i camper con altezza rilevata superiore a 3 mt € 15 ad ora....... Arrivati alle 9.47 e ripartiti alle 12.26 anche a causa di circa mezz'ora di fila all'unica cassa automatica.....sorpresa costo parcheggio camper alto 3mt e 6cm solo € 42,00 Fate attenzione ⚠⚠⚠ Statue of Christ of Maratea. Wonderful place, breathtaking view, definitely worth visiting if you pass by Maratea but, don't be like me, pay attention to the time of arrival and stay less than an hour to avoid nasty surprises when you go to pay for the parking which is mandatory for a fee. Cars € 5 per hour and campers with a height exceeding 3 meters € 15 per hour ....... Arrived at 9.47 and left again at 12.26 also due to about half an hour in a row at the only automatic cash point ..... surprise cost of 3m and 6cm high camper parking only € 42.00 Pay attention ⚠⚠⚠
M	Mimmo Benivento on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissima Maratea e la sua costa, ma basta concessioni ai privati e pseudo hotel e altre strutture che chiudono accessi alle spiagge: le spiagge sono di tutti e il comune marateota deve essere garante di questo diritto e basta...vedi l'Anginarra sempre più in concessione ad un hotel che piano piano si sta appropriando dell'intero arenile e vieta il passaggio sulla battigia ai turisti che devono raggiungere il tratto di spiaggia libero, a dir poco vergognoso. Per non parlare di Illicini completamente vietata e altri arenili che malgrado piccolissimi, vengono dati cmq in concessione a privati Beautiful Maratea and its coast, but no more concessions to private individuals and pseudo hotels and other structures that close access to the beaches: the beaches belong to everyone and the municipality of Marateota must be guarantor of this right and that's it ... see the Anginarra more and more in concession to a hotel that is slowly taking over the entire beach and forbidding the passage on the shoreline to tourists who have to reach the free stretch of beach, shameful to say the least. Not to mention Illicini completely forbidden and other beaches that despite being very small, are given as a concession to private individuals.

I panorami sono mozzafiato, dalle spiaggie al porto vecchio e al borgo storico. Da non perdere la visita al Cristo redentore. Maratea is the only town in Basilicata overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, and made up of many hamlets, one more beautiful than the other. The views are breathtaking, from the beaches to the old port and the historic village. Do not miss the visit to Christ the Redeemer.

Le piccole spiagge sono incantevoli ma quasi tutte a pagamento ed inoltre parcheggiare vicino al mare si spende dalle 5 alle 8 euro al giorno. Purtroppo il grado di civiltà degli abitanti è il linea con la stragrande maggioranza degli italiani, quindi molto incivili. Characteristic town located in very beautiful places. The small beaches are enchanting but almost all are paid and parking near the sea costs from 5 to 8 euros per day. Unfortunately, the degree of civilization of the inhabitants is in line with the vast majority of Italians, therefore very uncivilized.

Andrebbe curato un po' di più e servito meglio nel tragitto dalla stazione alla statua del Cristo Redentore. Very characteristic and cute town perched in a panoramic position. It should be cared for a little more and served better on the way from the station to the statue of Christ the Redeemer.
