C'è sempre una pausa di circa tre ore tra mattino e pomeriggio. Il cimitero è ben tenuto e anche i corridoi della parte antica non danno sensazione di angustia. ATTENTION TO TIMES: they are NOT 8-20 as indicated here on Google. The times vary according to the seasons and the right ones are found on the site of the cemetery. There is always a break of about three hours between morning and afternoon. The cemetery is well maintained and even the corridors of the old part do not give a feeling of distress.

Le zone più moderne purtroppo sono piene di verde spoglio e strutture che cozzano con la bellezza del luogo. Il reparto monumentale è straordinario e l'impianto circolare del cimitero è magnifico perché è fondamentale soffermarsi su tutta l'area coperta con migliaia di testimonianze della storia modenese e non solo. Fondamentale la visita al cimitero ebraico accessibile anche dall'interno e alle cripte che riservano numerosi alloggi al dimenticato mondo della Modena indipendente e a tutti coloro che lavorarono per lei. Merita comunque una visita anche la parte nuova. Cemetery of the ducal era then enlarged several times. Bello, suggestivo, confraternita per il suffragio dei defunti con relativa Messa molto ben organizzata...ma la parte più vecchia del Cimitero, dove comunque nel campo ci sono anche molte tombe recenti, non è tenuta bene: marciapiedi sconnessi, scale poco sicure (e non solo per gli anziani), alcune tombe monumentali pericolanti. Non so se ci siano le risorse per fare di più, ma se ci sono ben vengano! I speak with knowledge of the facts because I go there every week.
