★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa di S. Croce, che si affaccia sulla piazza più importante del piccolo borgo, presenta una semplice facciata in pietra a capanna. L'interno è semplice con piccole cappelle laterale, poco più che nicchie. Il presbiterio, appena sopraelevato rispetto all'aula quadrangolare mononave, è semplice, decorato da un affresco verosimilmente tardo secentesco.
Il contesto è piuttosto suggestivo e il sagrato si apre di fronte al cosiddetto castello, il palazzo nobiliare del borgo. Alle spalle della chiesa si erga il Sasso, ossia il rilievo roccioso che dà il nome alla frazione. Nelle vicinanze si distinguono le cosiddette Dolomiti laziali, due formazioni rocciose così chiamate per il forte richiamo, nella forma e nella costituzione litica, alle "colleghe" maggiori.
The church of S. Croce, which overlooks the most important square of the small village, has a simple gabled stone façade. The interior is simple with small lateral chapels, little more than niches. The presbytery, slightly raised above the quadrangular single-nave classroom, is simple, decorated with a probably seventeenth-century fresco.
The context is rather suggestive and the churchyard opens in front of the so-called castle, the noble palace of the village. Behind the church rises the Sasso, that is the rocky relief that gives the name to the hamlet. Nearby are the so-called Latium Dolomites, two rock formations so called because of their strong appeal, in their form and lithic constitution, to their "colleagues".

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Si è rivelata una gemma nascosta questa piccola chiesa che prende il nome dalla reliquia di un frammento della Croce che sarebbe stato portato direttamente da Gerusalemme. Chiesa e Castello racchiudono il suggestivo Borgo del Sasso da cui si gode la vista del monte omonimo. Location interessante per matrimoni e cerimonie.
This small church turned out to be a hidden gem, named after the relic of a fragment of the Cross that would have been brought directly from Jerusalem. Church and Castle enclose the suggestive Borgo del Sasso from which you can enjoy the view of the homonymous mountain. Interesting location for weddings and ceremonies.
