Varie le ristrutturazioni che si sono succedute nel tempo (soprattutto quella successiva al terremoto del 1915), ultima nel 2012 con creazione della piazza antistante. Pianta a croce latina con unica navata. Vale assolutamente la pena visitarla. It is the most beautiful and oldest church in Avezzano. Initially dedicated to St. Francis (hence the name of the street) and dating back, apparently, to the thirteenth century. Various renovations have taken place over time (especially the one following the earthquake of 1915), the most recent in 2012 with the creation of the square in front. Latin cross plan with a single nave. It is absolutely worth a visit.
