Prima dell'unità d'Italia fu un modesto Casale del Regno dei Borboni. Non dovette essere molto modesto dal momento che altri casali della zona dal 1700 in poi sono letteralmente scomparsi. Oggi questo rione si caratterizza in modo particolare per la sua grande fede al Patrono S. Andrea, Apostolo e fratello del grande San Pietro. Nella terza Domenica di Settembre e il 30 Novembre di ogni anno il popolo, da data immemorabile, dedica due grandi feste al Glorioso Apostolo, alle quali accorrono numerosi fedeli dai paresi vicini. Sant'Andrea dei Lagni (today district) is located in the southern area of the glorious Santa Maria Capua Vetere, which stands on the site of the ancient and historic city of Capua. Before the unification of Italy it was a modest farmhouse of the Bourbon kingdom. It didn't have to be very modest since other farmhouses in the area from the 1700s onwards literally disappeared. Today this district is particularly characterized by its great faith in the Patron Saint Andrew, Apostle and brother of the great Saint Peter. On the third Sunday of September and 30 November of each year, the people, from time immemorial, dedicate two large feasts to the Glorious Apostle, to which numerous faithful flock from the nearby paresis.

La struttura è molto bella nel suo complesso e sono in itinere lavori esterni di rifacimento della piazzetta antistante a cura della Amministrazione Comunale.
