M	Massimo Ferrari on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa, sorta nel luogo dove si trovava un fortilizio della famiglia Panciatichi, risulta documentata fin dal 1131. All'interno si conserva il Martirio di Santo Stefano, opera firmata di Antonio Puglieschi, e la Vergine annunciata, copia dell'immagine venerata alla Santissima Annunziata di Firenze. Il rapporto con l'ordine dei Servi di Maria è sottolineato anche dall'affresco del soffitto di Bartolomeo Valiani, con I Sette Santi Fondatori inginocchiati ai piedi della Madonna addolorata. La chiesa ha un impianto a navata unica rettangolare coperta da volta a botte unghiata. La zona presbiteriale è rialzata rispetto all'aula da tre gradini, separata e coperta da cupola affrescata; dietro il presbiterio si trova il coro semicircolare, aperto da tre vetrate rettangolari. L'interno della chiesa si presenta in stile barocco e le pareti sono scandite da paraste, sulla parete di destra, in prossimità del presbiterio, si trova un pulpito. Esternamente, la semplice facciata a capanna intonacata è caratterizzata dall'apertura del portale, con piattabanda in pietra, sormontato da una finestra rettangolare, che si conclude con un timpano. The church has a single rectangular aisle system covered by a vaulted barrel vault. The presbytery area is raised above the hall by three steps, separated and covered by a frescoed dome; behind the presbytery is the semicircular choir, opened by three rectangular windows. The interior of the church is in Baroque style and the walls are marked by pilasters, on the right wall, near the presbytery, there is a pulpit. Externally, the simple plastered gable façade is characterized by the opening of the portal, with a stone platform, surmounted by a rectangular window, which ends with a tympanum.

Very characteristic church. My opinion is not partial as I was born, raised, baptized and confirmed in Lucciano. This is my church.

Di antica fondazione, secondo una leggenda venne restaurata da Sant'Allucio, o Alluccio secondo la dicitura medioevale, il santo della carità originario di Campugliano vicino a Pescia, a cui si deve la fondazione dell'ospedale oggi conosciuto come Torre di Sant'Alluccio poco distante da Luciano.
