Church of San Michele Arcangelo

The outside It has a wide staircase leading to the beautiful stone portal, the church displays a façade in Baroque style. Left of the church, however, there is the late Romanesque bell tower of the invoice. The interior It is structured with three aisles, while the spaces are scanned by a succession of arches resting on pillars. The church, the oldest of Luzzi according to sources, date back to the end of the first millennium, houses numerous works of art, including the eighteenth-century wooden choir in the atrium of the apse and the high altar decorated with wood floral ornaments and surmounted by the representation of the four evangelists (baroque) on the tabernacle. Beside the chancel, which is topped by a large dome, there are two chapels dedicated to the Holy Trinity and to Our Lady of Constantinople. The right aisle puts on display a number of nineteenth-century paintings of St. Lucia, St. Francis of Paola and San Filippo Blacks, while at the bottom there is the chapel of the Madonna del Carmine with the statue of the Virgin. Along the left aisle, however, they are placed in an old stone baptismal font tuff and the seventeenth-century altarpieces by St. Jerome and St. Rita. Inside the church there is also a group of three wooden statuettes (Madonna with child, San Rocco and San Michele Arcangelo - late eighteenth century), sacred silverware and precious vestments (dating back to the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries).
