Il sottarco della cappella, con resti di affreschi precedenti, così anche all'altare ligneo di Sant'Antonio da Padova, dove sono stati rinvenuti due diversi strati di decorazione dovuti al cambio di destinazione dell'altare stesso: prima Battistero e poi altare della Croce. Tutto il resto delle pitture sono Novecentesche, sovrascritte alla decorazione settecentesca: ciò non toglie che affreschi di così grande dimensione e così compiuti nel Novecento sono più unici che rari per chiese di provincia. L'arte bisogna saperla scovare e capire! Vivaddio che suonano ancora le campane!
