Bellissima la chiesa bravissimo e molto sensibile il celebrante l’Arcivescovo di Chieti, Bruno Forte, ma devo dire che il coro parrocchiale è molto scadente a volte anche stonato e senza grazia! Peccato! I followed the Holy Mass today Sunday 20 February in the Church of S. Remigio in Farà S. Martino. The church celebrates the archbishop of Chieti, Bruno Forte, very good and very sensitive, but I must say that the parish choir is very poor, sometimes even out of tune and without grace! Pity!

Ha una facciata austera e un interno a tre navate ricco di opere di prestigio. Le origini sono molto antiche ed inizialmente era posta fuori dall’antico incastellamento, ma divenne parrocchia nel 1592 sostituendosi all’ormai piccola chiesa dell’Annunziata, che si trova all’interno della cinta muraria. La struttura iniziale ha subito diverse modifiche, tra gli ultimi quelli a seguito del terremoto del 1933 e dopo la seconda guerra mondiale. Gli interni, fortemente barocchi, si caratterizzano per i grandi mosaici sulle tre absidi che riproducono capolavori di arte bizantina e medioevale, oltre ad una vivace decorazione sugli stucchi. The origins are very ancient and initially it was located outside the ancient castle, but it became a parish in 1592, replacing the now small church of the Annunziata, which is located within the walls. The initial structure has undergone several changes, among the latest ones following the earthquake of 1933 and after the Second World War. The interiors, strongly Baroque, are characterized by large mosaics on the three apses that reproduce masterpieces of Byzantine and medieval art, as well as a lively decoration on the stuccos. The bell tower is imposing and very beautiful.
