★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "Un tempo il sacro luogo era sede della Congrega del Purgatorio. Scomparsa la Congrega, si pensò all’edificio come sede di una nuova Parrocchia per accogliere i fedeli della zona. La Cappella ospita la comunità parrocchiale dal 1943. La struttura della chiesa è molto semplice, ad una sola navata e misura 25 metri di lunghezza e 12 di larghezza. Sull’altare maggiore troneggia il quadro dell’Annunziata, dipinto da un artista locale: F. Caso. La chiesa non presenta elementi di grande valore artistico. La facciata, sul livello della strada, è molto sobria ed è limitata da un cancelletto. Non esiste una Casa Canonica, ma accanto alla Sacrestia è disponibile un salone per le attività parrocchiali. Il campanile non è mai esistito e la campana viene sostenuta dalle mura della chiesa, che fanno da supporto."
Ho preso queste notizie dal sito della diocesi di Aversa e spero siano utili per conoscere meglio il nostro territorio dove ogni chiesa rappresenta un faro per la nostra fede e per la difesa delle nostre radici cristiane...
