Simple but too small as a narrow church and I recommend San Francesco or San Carlo playa since I never visited the Abbey of San Francesco

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ è una chiesa della Frazione collinare di Maranola nel comune di Formia dedicata alla Annunziata, ma molti la credono dedicata a Sant'Antonio da Padova per via di una cappella interna. Situata al di fuori della cinta muraria della città, fu eretta nel 1371 per volere di Onorato Caetani, ricordato anche nel nome della vicina frazione di Castellonorato . Ad un'unica navata con volte a crociera, sicuramente modificata nei secoli, ha un'impronta chiaramente barocca, anche se conserva qualcosa di gotico.
it is a church of the hilltop village of Maranola in the municipality of Formia dedicated to the Annunziata, but many believe it dedicated to Sant'Antonio da Padova because of an internal chapel. Located outside the city walls, it was built in 1371 by order of Onorato Caetani, also mentioned in the name of the nearby hamlet of Castellonorato. With a single nave with cross vaults, surely modified over the centuries, it has a clearly Baroque imprint, even if it preserves something Gothic.
