Tra qualche secolo lo capiremo meglio... Il tempio è molto ben tenuto sin dalla venuta di Don Marco dalla Casa, ora missionario a Mpanda.. si curava di tutto e tutti ed era preciso. Ci teneva che il tempio fisse sempre a posto e grazie ai parrocchiani ha fatto molte migliorie e lavori murari ( tetto) ed elettronici. Molto attento ai bambini e agli adolescenti. In genere attento a tutti i parrocchiani di ogni età. Ora abbiamo molta fiducia in Don Graziano. Le sue omelie sono veramente " istruttive" e anche alla portata dei bimbi di catechismo. La storia del santuario è legata alle vicende dell'antica chiesa parrocchiale di Santa Maria degli Alemanni, oggi scomparsa, e a quelle del cinquecentesco Santuario di Santa Maria Lacrimosa, entrambi situati lungo la via Emilia Levante. Nei secoli XVII e XVIII furono compiuti vari interventi di ampliamento e restauro, ai quali partecipò probabilmente anche Alfonso Torreggiani. L'aspetto attuale della chiesa si deve a successivi rifacimenti che hanno profondamente alterato l'impianto originario. Beautiful church, not bad! In the 17th and 18th centuries various expansion and restoration works were carried out, in which Alfonso Torreggiani probably also took part. The current appearance of the church is due to subsequent renovations that have profoundly altered the original layout.
