Per queste viuzze romane, ancora oggi si conserva il sapore di un borgo popolare, caldo di vita, di negozietti "veri", di parlare romanesco, tra il profumo del pane fresco che esce dalle panetterie, e il profumo dei caffè che si diffonde dai piccoli bar con pochi tavolini fuori.
Nella chiesa di S.Maria Immacolata, inserita in questo contesto, caldo e popolare, c'è sempre qualcuno che entra e si ferma a pregare, spesso tranquille signore che tra una spesa e l'altra, si fermano un momento per inginocchiarsi davanti al tabernacolo della cappella che conserva le reliquie di Papa S. Pio X, e poggiate a terra le sporte della spesa, tirano il fiato recitando un Ave Maria sull'inginocchiatoio di un banco di legno.
Davvero la fede, quella oggi (coraggiosamente) ancora viva, si manifesta nel quotidiano di un borgo romano, tradizionale e pieno di romanità!
Da visitare, sia che si sia stranieri di passaggio, che si sia romani della periferia!

For these Roman alleys, the flavor of a popular village, hot with life, of "real" shops, of speaking Romanesque, is still preserved today, between the scent of fresh bread that comes out of the bakeries, and the scent of coffee that spreads from the small bars with a few tables outside.
In the church of S. Maria Immacolata, inserted in this context, warm and popular, there is always someone who enters and stops to pray, often quiet ladies who, between one shopping and another, stop for a moment to kneel in front of the tabernacle of the chapel that preserves the relics of Pope St. Pius X, and placing the shopping bags on the ground, they take their breath by reciting an Ave Maria on the prie-dieu of a wooden bench.
Really the faith, that today (courageously) still alive, is manifested in the daily life of a Roman village, traditional and full of Romanism!
To visit, whether you are a passing foreigner or a Roman from the periphery!
