★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Eretta verso la fine del XVI secolo sull’area dove prima sorgeva una chiesetta dedicata a Santa Maria della Neve, su progetto dell’architetto Angelo Italia. La facciata originaria è rimasta incompleta. L’interno è a tre navate.Sull’altare maggiore vi è una grande tela raffigurante una Madonna della Neve. Gli stucchi della cappella della Madonna di Lourdes sono opera del Fantauzzi. Questa cappella e quella del SS. Sacramento sono adornate da due meravigliosi lampadari ottocenteschi in vetro di Murano policromi. Intorno all’altare maggiore vi è un ricchissimo stallo per i canonici, o coro, preziosissima opera lignea del concittadino Santi Rigano. L’altare è in cristalli dorati e colorati, l’opera si compone di 36 scene del Vecchio e Nuovo Testamento.
Built towards the end of the 16th century on the area where a small church dedicated to Santa Maria della Neve once stood, based on a project by the architect Angelo Italia. The original façade has remained incomplete. The interior has three naves. On the main altar there is a large canvas depicting a Madonna della Neve. The stuccoes in the chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes are the work of Fantauzzi. This chapel and that of the SS. Sacramento are adorned with two wonderful nineteenth-century chandeliers in polychrome Murano glass. Around the main altar there is a very rich stall for the canons, or choir, a very precious wooden work by fellow citizen Santi Rigano. The altar is made of golden and colored crystals, the work consists of 36 scenes from the Old and New Testament.
