L'edificio è stato eretto all'inizio del XVII secolo, nelle attuali forme barocche, in sostituzione della precedente chiesa dedicata a S. Pietro. L'edificazione si deve alla famiglia Orsini, che detiene il borgo, ad eccezione di una breve parentesi a cura dei Torlonia, fino ala metà del XIX secolo.
It is the titular church of the hamlet of Pisciarelli (Braccuano). The building was erected at the beginning of the seventeenth century, in its current Baroque form, to replace the previous church dedicated to St. Peter. The construction is due to the Orsini family, which owns the village, with the exception of a brief parenthesis by the Torlonia family, until the middle of the nineteenth century.
