P	Pietro Zizzo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una piccola chiesa di origine medievale in pieno stile normanno. E' tra le chiese più antiche di Palermo. L'interno ha una copertura lignea e presbiterio cupolato. La luce penetra all'interno della chiesa grazie a delle finestre di forma ogivale. Molto bello il crocifisso ligneo dipinto, risalente al Quattrocento. A small church of medieval origin in full Norman style. It is among the oldest churches in Palermo. The interior has a wooden covering and a domed presbytery. The light penetrates inside the church thanks to ogival windows. The painted wooden crucifix dating back to the fifteenth century is very beautiful.

Ospedale costruito da Ruggero \|\| in memoria del fratello Goffredo. Federico \|\| donó l ospedale e la chiesa all' ordine dei cavalieri Teutonici. L'edificio fu rimaneggiato, appesantito.. Tra il 1920 e il 1934 venne restaurata, riportandola al suo splendore originario. The church of San Giovanni dei Lebbrosi (structure from the first half of the 10th century) takes its name from an annex from the leper hospital (now insistent). Hospital built by Ruggero \|\| in memory of his brother Goffredo. Federico \|\| he donated the hospital and the church to the order of the Teutonic knights. The building was remodeled, weighed down .. Between 1920 and 1934 it was restored, bringing it back to its original splendor.

Eppure è davvero un gioiello di epoca arabo-normanna, che per impianto e struttura si avvicina a San Giovanni degli eremiti e san Cataldo! Poco distante di trova anche il monumentale ponte fatto costruire da Giorgio di Antiochia per attraversare il fiume Oreto. L'interno è spoglio ed austero, belle le absidi e le cupole! Ben tenuto anche il piccolo giardino, dove tratti di antiche mura sono l'unico resto del primitivo castello al cui posto sorse la chiesa! The church is out of the center and out of any tourist itinerary! Yet it is truly a jewel of the Arab-Norman era, which in terms of layout and structure is similar to San Giovanni degli eremiti and San Cataldo! Not far away is the monumental bridge built by Giorgio di Antiochia to cross the Oreto river. The interior is bare and austere, the apses and domes are beautiful! The small garden is also well maintained, where sections of ancient walls are the only remnant of the primitive castle in which the church was built!

La iglesia se asemeja a otra también dedicada al mismo santo pero alejada de la zona antigua y turística de Palermo. Rodeada por un pequeño jardín y cuidadado todo por los creyentes. A marvel of a church for its simplicity, beauty and history. Represents the typical and rare Sicilian Norman art. The church resembles another also dedicated to the same saint but far from the old and touristic area of Palermo. Surrounded by a small garden and all cared for by the believers.
