★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un luogo amato e vissuto, questa è stata la sensazione visitando la Chiesa di Sant’Agostino nel cuore di Taranto vecchia. La chiesa (ex Madonna delle Grazie) risale al 1400 ed accoglie le spoglie di Tommaso Nicolò D’Aquino (1700) al quale è intitolata una delle strade più importanti di Taranto. Il tetto Della chiesa fu distrutto nei bombardamenti di Taranto e ricostruito in epoca moderna.
La facciata è tutta in tufo.
Le messe sono alle 10:30 nei giorni festivi e alle 18:30 nei giorni feriali.
A place loved and experienced, this was the feeling when visiting the Church of Sant’Agostino in the heart of old Taranto. The church (formerly Madonna delle Grazie) dates back to 1400 and houses the remains of Tommaso Nicolò D'Aquino (1700) to whom one of the most important streets in Taranto is named. The roof of the church was destroyed in the bombings of Taranto and rebuilt in modern times.
The facade is all in tuff.
Masses are at 10:30 am on holidays and at 6:30 pm on weekdays.
