★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Offre una vista magnifica, peccato che alle 14.30 di metà agosto (con tanti turisti in giro) fosse chiusa (come il resto delle chiese di Nicosia).
It offers a magnificent view, too bad it was closed at 2.30pm in mid-August (with so many tourists around) (like the rest of the churches in Nicosia).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Chiesa del SS. Salvatore venne costruita tra il XI ed il XII secolo su una maestosa e possente rocca di quarzarenite che domina il centro abitato di Nicosia. L’ edificio si estende per una superficie di circa trecento metri quadri ed è costituito da un' unica navata, da una cappella dedicata a Santa Rita e dai locali della sagrestia disposti su due elevazioni. Sono conservate all’ interno della Chiesa opere del XVII secolo, come ad esempio la "Madonna della Consolazione" di Don Antonino Cardella e la "Salita al Calvario" di Nicola Mirabella.
The Church of the SS. Salvatore was built between the eleventh and twelfth centuries a majestic and mighty fortress of quartzarenite overlooking the town of Nicosia. L 'building covers an area of approximately three hundred square meters and consists of a' single nave, a chapel dedicated to Santa Rita and from the premises of the sacristy arranged on two elevations. They kept all 'inside of the Church of the seventeenth century works, such as "Our Lady of Consolation" by Don Antonino Cardella and "Road to Calvary" by Nicholas Mirabella.
