Questa chiesa ha poi una caratteristica che in pochi sanno (e che i Padri lì presenti non dicono): è stata la chiesa/convento del noviziato di San Giuseppe da Copertino, grande santo francescano. All'interno del convento c'è anche la sua cella. Il chiostro è stato "violentato" nel corso degli anni..
