★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa è stata fondata nel 1972 per essere la chiesa del nuovo quartiere. Fu costruita su un
terreno che era stata acquistato da una signora: Costanzo Stella, morta nel 1985, la quale, su
rivelazione mistica, aveva raccolto durante tutta la sua vita, dei soldi perché su quel terreno sorgesse
una chiesa e un istituto per i ragazzi poveri e abbandonati. Il 25 Ottobre 1980 la chiesa di San
Giovanni Bosco fu costituita Parrocchia dal vescovo del tempo Mons.. Sebastiano Rosso e
nominava parroco il Sac. Filippo Berrittella. Oltre all’ attività religiosa, la parrocchia serve come
centro sociale per attività sportive; infatti ci sono due campetti per i giovani che nel quartiere sono
numerosi. Nel 1992 la chiesa è stata ingrandita e nel 1995 sono state realizzate le artistiche vetrate
in mosaico e i dipinti, opera di Giuseppe Fornasier.
La chiesa è a una sola navata e presenta un altare centrale in legno, arricchito da tanti bassorilievi dorati, dono di Paolo Manusè, devoto emigrato in U.S.A.
The church was founded in 1972 to be the church of the new district. It was built on a
land that had been purchased from a lady: Costanzo Stella, who died in 1985, which, on
mystical revelation, he had collected throughout his life, because of the money on that land should rise
a church and an institute for poor and abandoned children. On 25 October 1980 the Church of St.
Giovanni Bosco was established Parish by the bishop of the time Mgr. Sebastiano Rosso e
pastor named the Sac. Filippo Berrittella. In addition to religious activity, the parish serves as a
social center for sports activities; in fact there are two pitches for young people in the neighborhood
numerous. In 1992 the church was enlarged and in 1995 stained glass windows were made
in mosaic and the paintings, by Giuseppe Fornasier.
The church has a single nave and presents a central wooden altar, enriched with many golden bas-reliefs, a gift from Paolo Manusè, a devout emigrant to U.S.A.
