P	Paolo Cervoni on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All'ingresso del paese, la chiesa-convento di S. Antonio Abate è uno dei monumenti più antichi di Ceprano che conserva il suo fascino di epoche passate. Edificata durante il Cinquecento lungo l'antica via Latina, fu affidata ai Padri Carmelitani che nel 1516 si occuparono della costruzione di un convento, addossando alla chiesa un chiostro quadrangolare. Il complesso architettonico formato dalla Chiesa e dall'antico convento francescano ha l'accesso verso la vecchia via Latina. Restaurata recentemente, l'interno della Chiesa è formato da un'unica navata; la volta, a forma di un quarto di sfera, forma l'abside. All'unico altare in pietra è incastonato un bassorilievo in marmo raffigurante un Agnello. Nell'abside troneggia un polittico ligneo del XVI sec. Gli scomparti divisi da quattro colonne mostrano diversi soggetti sacri tra i quali primeggia una tela della Vergine del Carmelo. At the entrance of the village, the church-convent of S. Antonio Abate is one of the oldest monuments of Ceprano which retains its charm of bygone eras. Built during the sixteenth century along the ancient Via Latina, it was entrusted to the Carmelite Fathers who in 1516 took care of the construction of a convent, leaning against the church a quadrangular cloister. The architectural complex formed by the Church and the ancient Franciscan convent has access to the old Via Latina. Recently restored, the interior of the Church consists of a single nave; the vault, shaped like a quarter of a sphere, forms the apse. At the only stone altar there is a marble bas-relief depicting a Lamb. In the apse there is a 16th century wooden polyptych. The compartments divided by four columns show different sacred subjects among which a canvas of the Virgin of Carmel stands out.

Guardando la chiesa di S.Antonio si rimane assortiti per la semplicità architettonica e il non secondario la religiosità che ci è stato trasmesso attraverso il tempo. Unfortunately it was not possible to visit it inside, the external state of conservation is good. Looking at the church of S. Molto carina esternamente, l'interno è più semplice, interessante il polittico in legno del secolo XVI situato nell'abside. At the entrance to the city of Ceprano there is the Church of S.
