It is not always open in front of the most famous church of the Immaculate Conception on the Head. It does not have the same baroque decorations but it is still an important testimony of the popular faith inside the markets of Palermo

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa, che sorge dirimpetto alla Chiesa dell'Immacolata Concezione, fu costruita nel 1583 su una cappella risalente al XIII secolo, ingrandita con la realizzazione di un "cappellone" restaurato nella prima metà del '700. Internamente la chiesa è suddivisa in tre navate, con arcate sostenute da colonne marmoree. Tra le varie opere d'arte qui conservate, si citano un crocifisso dipinto del XV secolo e la tela di Filippo Randazzo del 1728, esposta sull'altare maggiore, raffigurante "Il martirio di San Ippolito.
The church, which stands opposite the Church of the Immaculate Conception, was built in 1583 on a chapel dating back to the 13th century, enlarged with the construction of a "chapel" restored in the first half of the 18th century. Internally the church is divided into three naves, with arches supported by marble columns. Among the various works of art preserved here, there is a 15th-century painted crucifix and the canvas by Filippo Randazzo from 1728, displayed on the main altar, depicting "The martyrdom of Saint Hippolytus.
