Il borgo di Ponte è sempre stato il giardino della nobiltà della zona, e questo edificio ne è il preclaro specchio.
Assai ricca di opere del Cinquecento, sia lignee che ad affresco., vi ha lavorato perfino uno dei pittori della famiglia dei Luini.
Il parroco è molto ben voluto, e ben firmato nella Santa Dottrina.
