Benedetto è stato attribuito dagli studiosi a Giambattista Canal (Venezia 1745-1825): in tale opera è quanto mai evidente e palese la volontà del pittore di emulare lo stile del Tiepolo; invece la pala dell’altare maggiore che rappresenta la Gloria di S. Benedetto Abate (olio su tela, cm 440x213) potrebbe essere stata commissionata per la consacrazione della Chiesa (1695) alla bottega del bellunese Agostino Ridolfi (Belluno 1646-1727), molto attivo in zona intorno alla fine del XVII secolo. The ceiling fresco depicting the Trinity and classroom Glory of Mary Immaculate and St. Benedict was attributed by scholars to Giambattista Canal (Venice 1745-1825): in this work is how the painter will never obvious and blatant emulate the style of Tiepolo; instead the main altar which represents the Glory of S. La Chiesa Parrocchiale con il Campanile distaccato , ci e' apparsa in tutto il suo splendore , accedendo alla sua piccola piazza da quella quella che in antico era una via di pubblico transito , ed ora e' divenuta un esclusivo accesso privato , che comunque ne ha valorizzato il contesto .
