Andrebbe restituita la grandezza del luogo ai cittadini del quartiere ed andrebbero intensificato le attività che troppo spesso danno invece la sensazione di un luogo per pochi eletti . Vi è conservata la colonna ritrovata tra i resti della villa romana di proprietà di Teodosia, figlia dell'imperatore Teodosio, che sorgeva nel quartiere. Dal latino " ad Theodociam" deriva il termine "a Teduccio". La statua di San Giovanni, secondo la leggenda, fu ritrovata, nel VI sec. d.C., da alcuni marinai nelle acque prospicienti e lasciata ai popolani, affinché la custodissero in una cappella.
