★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Chiesa di Santa Maria Maggiore in stile neoclassico è dedicata a Sant'Arduino che qui si fermò a riposare di ritorno dalla Terra Santa e che qui morì purtroppo colpito dalla peste. Nella chiesa ci sono le sue reliquie e anche l'urna che accolse le spoglie dell'ultimo re Svevo Manfredi. All'esterno della Chiesa c'è una stele vicino al fiume che riporta dei versi di Dante dedicati a Manfredi di Svevia.
The neoclassical Church of Santa Maria Maggiore is dedicated to Sant'Arduino who stopped here to rest on his way back from the Holy Land and who unfortunately died here, struck by the plague. In the church there are his relics and also the urn that received the remains of the last Swabian king Manfredi. Outside the church there is a stele near the river that shows Dante's verses dedicated to Manfredi of Swabia.
