In onore il popolo eresse una piccola chiesetta, in seguito venne ricostruita, nella chiesa odierna.
Church of Santa Caterina d'Alessandria: seventeenth-century Latin cross-shaped church with three naves located in via largo Santa Caterina and owned by the Confraternity of Santa Caterina V.M.A. The people erected the church on the spot where the patron saint appeared to the Saracens and expelled them from the village. In honor the people erected a small church, later it was rebuilt in today's church.
