★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La piccola chiesetta anticamente dedicata a Santa Maria dei Francolini si trova su una piccola traversa che scende verso il decumano di via dei Priori, adiacente alla chiesa di Santo Stefano, alla demolita chiesa di San Valentino, all'ex convento di San Paolo e all'ex monastero di SS. Giovanni Battista e Bernardo. Il complesso occupa un importante angolo dell'isolato popolare e mantiene l'impianto medievale caratterizzandosi per la stratificazione dei segni che l'architettura mostra: peculiare è la sopraelevazione che ne caratterizza l'aspetto esterno, mentre all'interno le trasformazioni di fine Settecento hanno arricchito con decorazione il romanico ambiente, già in parte trasformato nel Cinquecento. Attualmente la chiesa è curata dalla Confraternita di Santiago di Compostella e gli spazi limitrofi gestiti dalla Caritas locale.
 The small church formerly dedicated to Santa Maria dei Francolini is located on a small side street that descends towards the decumanus of via dei Priori, adjacent to the church of Santo Stefano, the demolished church of San Valentino, the former convent of San Paolo and the former monastery of SS. Giovanni Battista and Bernardo. The complex occupies an important corner of the popular block and maintains the medieval layout, characterized by the stratification of the signs that the architecture shows: peculiar is the elevation that characterizes its external appearance, while inside the transformations of the late eighteenth century have the Romanesque room, already partially transformed in the sixteenth century, was enriched with decoration. Currently the church is cared for by the Confraternity of Santiago de Compostella and the adjacent spaces managed by the local Caritas.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Questa piccola chiesa costituiva fino a pochi decenni fa un importante luogo di culto per il popoloso e popolare quartiere. Ora affidata al Confraternita di Jacopo di Compostela apre le sue porte solo por la festa di Sant Anna il 26 luglio.
This small church was an important place of worship for the populous and popular neighborhood until a few decades ago. Now entrusted to the Brotherhood of Jacopo di Compostela, it opens its doors only for the feast of Sant Anna on July 26th.
