A partire dal suo restauro nel 2018, sono in corso accertamenti di tipo archeologico, da parte della Università di Trento, nel terrapieno circostante. Una visita più naturalistica che artistica, alla ricerca di suggestioni e natura, in un area fuori dai percorsi turistici canonici. A more naturalistic than artistic visit, in search of suggestions and nature, in an area outside the canonical tourist routes.

Di forma quadrangolare e di dimensioni modeste (ca. 5x10 m), è caratterizzata internamente da un'unica navata con volti a botte progressivamente digradanti verso l'abside. Sull'architrave dell'ingresso v'è inciso "DEMTVA PROTECTIONE VT IN / AETERNUM PROTEGAS AN. 1566", che pare indicare l'anno in cui la chiesa assunse la forma attuale; nel 1579 appare citata negli Acta Visitalia in seguito della Visita Pastorale di Ludovico Madruzzo. La chiesa, vittima negli anni di numerosi atti vandalici,[1] appare in un moderato stato di degrado che ha incoraggiato nel 2018 l'intervento del volontariato locale per il rifacimento del tetto mediante il progetto "Un paese, il suo colle, la sua chiesa" [2] promosso dal Comune di Trento, dalla Circoscrizione di Povo e dalla Parrocchia di Povo. The church of Sant'Agata seems to be the evolution of the ancient cemetery chapel of the castle. Of quadrangular shape and of modest size (ca. 5x10 m), is characterized internally by a single nave with barrel vaults gradually sloping towards the apse. entrance architrave there is engraved "DEMTVA PROTECTIONE VT IN / AETERNUM PROTEGAS AN. 1566", which seems to indicate the year in which the church took its present shape; in 1579 it appears mentioned in the Acta Visitalia following the Pastoral Visit of Ludovico Madruzzo.
