Jahrhundert, als die Pest in Apulien wütete, an der Stelle, an der sich heute die Kirche befindet, San Quirico erschien, dem es mit einer wundersamen Geste gelang, die Stadt von der Pest zu befreien. Und so entschloss sich das Volk, getrieben von großer Dankbarkeit, an dieser Stelle, außerhalb der Mauern, die Kirche San Quirico zu bauen.
Die flache Fassade wird durch ein hervorstehendes dreieckiges Tympanon mit einer Lünette der Statue von San Quirico aufgelockert. Ein Blick hinein ist nur Sonntags 9:30 bis 11:00 möglich.
Legend has it that in the 17th century, when the plague raged in Puglia, San Quirico appeared on the spot where the church is today, who with a miraculous gesture managed to free the city from the plague. And so the people, driven by great gratitude, decided to build the church of San Quirico here, outside the walls.
The flat facade is loosened up by a protruding triangular tympanum with a lunette of the statue of San Quirico. A look inside is only possible on Sundays 9:30 am to 11:00 am.
