The Franciscan convent was built in 1523 by Mariotto Sajano, a wealthy citizen of Poggio who, tired of the wars, decided to retire in prayer. After a first renovation in 1660, the single-nave church was rebuilt in 1932 but retains some pre-existing structures and furnishings, while nothing remains of the convent. Entering the church, on the right is the lateral Chapel of the Crucifix (decorated in the vaults and walls with frescoes of the eighteenth century), which houses the tombstone of Mariotto Sajano. The polychrome high-relief of the gravestone depicts Mariotto in full-size asleep, with his head resting peacefully on the pillow, in his humble habit surrounded by the cord of Franciscan vows, next to the sword and, at the foot, the family crest. In the same chapel there is also an altar in carved stone, dated 1674, on whose sides there are four small contemporary frescoes depicting Saints and Saints. Returning to the nave and continuing there is the carved stone altar dedicated to San Pasquale Baylon whose wooden statue of the early eighteenth century is the work of an unknown Fano sculptor. Further on there is the painting of the Annunciation, by a painter from the Marche-Romagna area of ​​the sixteenth century and a wooden statue of Saint Peter from the eighteenth century. The frontal of the high altar is gilded and decorated with the emblem of the Franciscans. Currently the apsidal wall of the presbytery, on which there is a valuable wooden crucifix of the fourteenth century, hides the space reserved for the choir where the eighteenth-century wooden choir is still preserved, the work of the cabinetmaker from Fano Giuseppe Tacchetti. Going down from the presbytery on the left there is a canvas depicting the Marriage of the Virgin (end of '500, beginning of' 600) and a wooden statue of the immaculate of the seventeenth century. Also noteworthy is a canvas, perhaps by Carlo Magini (Fano painter, 1720-1806), depicting the Madonna del Carmine.

Country church in the Pesaro hinterland. Famous in the district for the feast of the saint that occurs on May 17th when, years ago, a large part of the local population met and not only for a picnic with lunch on the lawns that lasted until evening. Today renowned for weddings, to and all other important religious occasions.
