Un tempo, quando l’abitato della cittadina era molto più piccolo del precedente, la chiesa (insieme alla piazzetta antistante), erano l’unico punto di aggregazione di Frosolone. L’edificio ha un’impostazione basilicale, con due sole cappelle poste in prossimità dell’ingresso. (web)
The Church of San Michele Arcangelo according to the local tradition is the oldest of Frosolone, since the cult of San Michele refers at least to the Lombard age. Once, when the town was much smaller than the previous one, the church (together with the small square in front of it), was the only point of aggregation of Frosolone. The building has a basilica setting, with only two chapels placed near the entrance. (Web)
