★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Chiesa di S. Michele era una dipendenza della Pieve di Artimino. Le sue origini risalgono intorno al XIV secolo.
Nel corso del XVII secolo la Chiesa era sottoposta al patronato della famiglia fiorentina dei Mazzinghi.
La facciata è semplice ed è separata da un campanile a torre.
L'interno presenta tre navate.
Nel contiguo oratorio vi è una tela con l'ultima cena del primo Seicento attribuile a Cosimo Lotti.
L'oratorio conserva i costumi della secolare Processione del Cristo Morto, che si celebra in paese ogni tre anni e che si caratterizza per la presenza di centinaia di figuranti in costume che riproducono il percorso di Cristo dalla morte alla sua Resurrezione.
The Church of S. Michele was a dependency of the Pieve di Artimino. Its origins date back to around the fourteenth century.
During the seventeenth century the Church was under the patronage of the Florentine Mazzinghi family.
The facade is simple and is separated by a bell tower.
The interior has three naves.
In the contiguous oratory there is a canvas with the last supper of the early seventeenth century attributed to Cosimo Lotti.
The oratory preserves the mores of secular Procession of the Dead Christ, which is celebrated in the country every three years and is characterized by the presence of hundreds of people in costume depicting the path of Christ from death to his resurrection.
