La chiesa con ormai i muri esterni quasi esclusivamente in mattoni, è circondata da un piccolo prato ed è stata costruita su un piccola chiesetta del V-VI secolo. L'attuale chiesa invece di stile romanico risale invece al XII secolo e presenta due cicli di affreschi molto belli e discretamente conservati. Peccato vederla spesso chiusa. L'edificio ha subito rimaneggiamenti che ne hanno ridotto le dimensioni nel corso del tempo facendole cambiare l'aspetto originario. Da vedere gli affreschi di epoca carolingia presenti nel catino absidale. Non è sempre possibile visitarne gli interni in quanto le aperture sono gestite da volontari.
