★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un piccolo gioiello del settecento rimane intatta l'architettura esterna pregevole nella sua semplicità sito nella oramai scomparsa area naturale periferica di aci detta cerza, già dal lontano 1660 da Marcantonio De Maria e da lui trasmesso alla parentela poi memoria perenne della famiglia acese scudero figueroa che ne fece fiore all"occhielo e dimora eterna per sè e pei suoi discendenti e a far data dell anno del signore 1682 allorché la cappella divenne casa dimora della salma del corpo,si pensa, del capostipite familiare : eccoci di fronte all'odierno Rettorato della Curia Acese ' Chiesa di San Martino in Acireale' consacrata al culto dal Vescovo Malandrino 1985, e che al disegno dell'arte settecentesca aggiunge e annovera all'interno diverse opere pregevoli come quelle dell'arte acese tra cui le tele di giacinto platania e di giovanni lo coco e quelle dell'arte di Ortisei tra cui la statua in legno di "San Martino Vescovo".
Oggi dicembre 2020, Rettorato affidato dal Vescovo Raspanti, alle cure e alla responsabilità del nominato nuovo Rettore nella persona del Canonico sac don Gaetano Caltabiano.
