Opere d'arte i dipinti e gli affreschi dove lo sfarzo tipico è calibrato e misurato poiché il fedele deve entrare per raccogliersi in preghiera oltreché ammirare ciò che lo circonda Easily accessible, well-kept and tidy place of worship with an altar dedicated to the saint I LOVE so much. Di notare che è più conosciuta per il colto a Santa Rita di Cascia. San Leonardo ha una lunga storia che vede le sue radici nel XIV. Nel tempo ha avuto diversi tra i quali una ricostruzione settecentesca e la facciata in un progetto del novecento. Alla fine del Novecento del secolo scorso è stata ulteriormente rivalutata di riflesso con il grande progetto di rifacimento dell’area del vecchio Ospedale Civile di San Leonardo per parte della Fondazione Cassamarca e la conseguente trasformazione nell’odierno Quartiere Latino, oggi sede universitaria, dove si trovano oltre all’università, negozi e appartamenti in un ambiente semichiuso molto gradevole e ideale per le passeggiate con la conversione pedonale della piazza San Leonardo e aree pedonale all’interno. Tuttavia l'aspetto attuale risale a una prima ricostruzione del 1657, seguita da modifiche interne di inizio 1800 e per finire al rifacimento della facciata del 1930 dall'arch. Candiani. Rispetto ad altri edifici storici trevigiani non incontra i miei gusti essendo alla fine una chiesa ottocentesca, però trovo interessante il trittico del '500, attribuito alla bottega di Cima da Conegliano sulla parete di sinistra. Small and delightful church in the historic center of Treviso, a stone's throw from the Latin quarter. RITA e seminascosta quella del santo cui la chiesa è intitolata. L'interno, a navata unica, racchiude alcune opere d'arte di buona fattura. Vale una breve visita se ci si trova nei paraggi.
