L'aula, dal soffitto con travatura a vista, costituisce la parte originaria della costruzione trecentesca. Nel XVII secolo sono stati aggiunti l'abside quadrata dalle vele centinate, leggermente più alta rispetto all'aula, e il portico aperto su tre lati da archi a tutto sesto. Sul colmo della facciata è posta la monofora campanaria. Sul fianco destro della chiesa si aprono due finestre ogivali, mentre sul lato sinistro vi è una sola ampia apertura a tutto sesto. Sulla parete sinistra è ancora visibile un lacerto di affresco raffigurante la Madonna con Bambino della fine del XIV secolo, inizio XV secolo. Accanto vi è la figura di San Leonardo, unica testimonianza degli affreschi quattrocenteschi che adornavano l'aula. L'altare, con la parte inferiore in muratura e quella superiore in marmo, è probabilmente settecentesco e sostituisce l'originario altare ligneo eseguito dal pittore e intagliatore Bernardino Diana nel Cinquecento. La festa dedicata a San Leonardo si svolge ogni anno la prima domenica di settembre presso la chiesetta di S.Leonardo (Bellazoia), che si può raggiungere dalla piazza paesana, piazza Isonzo, prendendo via centrale, girando a destra dopo circa 70 m, e imboccando infine via San Leonardo, percorrendola per circa 500 m, fino alla fine, dove si trova la chiesa. The 14th century church was extensively remodeled in the 17th century. The classroom, with a beamed ceiling, forms the original part of the fourteenth-century building. In the seventeenth century, the square apse with arched sails, slightly higher than the classroom, and the portico open on three sides by round arches were added. The bell tower is placed on the top of the facade. On the right side of the church there are two pointed windows, while on the left side there is only one large round opening. On the left wall is still visible a fragment of a fresco depicting the Madonna and Child of the late 14th century, early 15th century. Next to it is the figure of San Leonardo, the only testimony of the fifteenth-century frescoes that adorned the classroom. The altar, with the lower part in masonry and the upper part in marble, is probably from the eighteenth century and replaces the original wooden altar made by the painter and carver Bernardino Diana in the sixteenth century. The feast dedicated to San Leonardo takes place every year on the first Sunday of September at the church of S. Leonardo (Bellazoia), which can be reached from the village square, Piazza Isonzo, taking the central street, turning right after about 70 m, and finally taking via San Leonardo, going along it for about 500 m, until the end, where the church is located.
