Il complesso è suggestivo negli scorci dal basso e per l'inquadramento panoramico che offre dal sagrato, verso le verdi colline e le montagne che cingono la valcuvia e il lago maggiore. All'interno, un ciclo di affreschi ricopre una cappella laterale, un tempo abside della primitiva chiesa. È opera di un frescante locale, Guglielmo Jotti da Montegrino, e risale ai primi decenni del Cinquecento. Al centro è raffigurata una Crocifissione, con animata scena di armigeri sullo sfondo di una Gerusalemme inventata. Ai piedi corre una teoria di Mesi, secondo un gusto e una devozione ancora sostanzialmente medievali. Probably born where the medieval castle of Brissago existed, the church has a dress due to an integral reconstruction dating back to the mid-seventeenth century. The complex is suggestive in the views from below and the panoramic view it offers from the churchyard, towards the green hills and the mountains that surround the Valcuvia and Lake Maggiore. Inside, a cycle of frescoes covering a side chapel, a time apse of the primitive church. It is the work of a local fresco painter, Guglielmo Jotti da Montegrino, and dates back to the early decades of the sixteenth century. At the center depicts a Crucifixion, with animated scene of armed men on a background invented Jerusalem. At the foot runs a theory of months, according to a taste and a devotion still substantially medieval.
