★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissima chiesetta annessa al vecchio ospedale, poi casa di riposo Baratto.
È chiamata chiesa di S. Francesco, ma è dedicata a S. Maria bambina.
All'interno ospita una pala realizzata dal Verla.
È circondata da un parco alberato detto "la valletta".
Sembra sia stata riaperta al pubblico recentemente.
Beautiful church annexed to the old hospital, then Baratto retirement home.
It is called the church of S. Francesco, but it is dedicated to S. Maria as a child.
Inside it houses an altarpiece made by Verla.
It is surrounded by a wooded park called "the valley".
Seems to have been reopened to the public recently.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa è la più bella di Schio - in assoluto! E' del 1442, la sua storicità si respira tutta. Le lapidi tombali all'interno della chiesa, con le iscrizioni in latino -interessanti da leggere-, il coro ligneo del 1509, gli archi acuti, i marmi e le opere tutte rimandano all'atmosfera dei chiostri del nome della rosa (la differenza è appena di un secolo).
La chiesa conserva inoltre la "Pala del Verla", di sicuro l'opera antica più pregiata in Schio.
Peccato per gli esegui orari di visita - su richiesta.
The church is the most beautiful in Schio - ever! It dates back to 1442, its historicity is fully breathed. The tombstones inside the church, with the Latin inscriptions - interesting to read -, the wooden choir of 1509, the pointed arches, the marbles and the works all refer to the atmosphere of the cloisters of the name of the rose (the difference is just a century).
The church also preserves the "Pala del Verla", certainly the most valuable ancient work in Schio.
Too bad for the run visiting hours - on request.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Questa chiesa del 1400 ha un passato che per Schio ha un valore inestimabile..merita assolutamente la visita...per la pala del Verla...per il coro..il chiostro..l'assoluta semplicità di questo sito poco conosciuto.
This church of 1400 has a past that for Schio is invaluable .. it is absolutely worth a visit ... for the altarpiece of Verla ... for the choir .. the cloister .. the absolute simplicity of this little known site.
