C	Carmen Mazza on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stupenda e antica cappella "campestre" risalente al 1600 dedicata alla Madonna delle Grazie e, successivamente, al culto di San Biagio. La cappella ha una bellissima facciata in pietra lavica. L'interno è piccolo, ma, nell'insieme, è tutto ben organizzato. Vi sono posti a sedere e vi è l'altare principale con la statua del Santo e, sulla destra, si trova una porta dove si accede alla sagrestia. La cappella NON È VISITABILE poiché è privata! Appartiene ad una famiglia che la "cura" e la gestisce! Per chi desidera visitarla sappiate che APRE SOLO NEL GIORNO DI SAN BIAGIO IL 3 FEBBRAIO! In quel giorno, la cappella, rimane aperta per le celebrazioni delle Sante Messe distribuite nell'arco della giornata. Fuori la cappella, si trova lo spazio esterno dove avviene l'unzione della gola con l'olio benedetto e la distribuzione dei taralli (probabilmente, in passato, era un pezzo di pane e si rifà al detto: San Biase 'u sole pi case!) Ed è forse per questo che, sulla facciate esterna, sopra l'ingresso, vi è un piccolo sole all'interno di un cerchio ( però, questa, è solo una mia considerazione). Per il resto, mi auguro che questa tradizione non venga mai persa perchè, credetemi, è una grande emozione parteciparvi. Superb and ancient "rural" chapel dating back to 1600 dedicated to the Madonna delle Grazie and, subsequently, to the cult of San Biagio. The chapel has a beautiful lava stone facade. The interior is small, but overall everything is well organized. There are seats and there is the main altar with the statue of the Saint and, on the right, there is a door which leads to the sacristy. The chapel IS NOT VISITABLE as it is private! It belongs to a family that "cares" and manages it! For those who want to visit it, know that it OPENS ONLY ON THE DAY OF SAN BIAGIO ON 3 FEBRUARY! On that day, the chapel remains open for the celebrations of Holy Masses distributed throughout the day. Outside the chapel, there is the external space where the anointing of the throat with blessed oil takes place and the distribution of taralli (probably, in the past, it was a piece of bread and refers to the saying: San Biase 'u sole pi case !) And it is perhaps for this reason that, on the external facade, above the entrance, there is a small sun inside a circle (however, this is just my consideration). For the rest, I hope that this tradition will never be lost because, believe me, it is a great emotion to participate in it.
