★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mura, oltre che per il contesto paesaggistico, è famosa per la sua Chiesa parrocchiale dedicata a Santa Maria Assunta che, grazie alla sua maestosità barocca, è considerata tra le più belle in Valle Sabbia.
Stupiscono le enormi proporzioni dall'edificio rispetto alla modesta grandezza dell'abitato. Lunga ben 63 metri e larga 23 è, dopo la parrocchiale di Bagolino, la Chiesa più grande della valle. Sorse su un antichissima Chiesa plebana; la costruzione odierna fu terminata nel 1706. La consacrazione avvenne l’1 ottobre 1715.
Nella Chiesa Parrocchiale della Beata Vergine Maria Assunta in cielo vi sono i seguenti altari: Maggiore dell'Immacolata Concezione di Maria Vergine; di San Carlo; del Santissimo Rosario; di San Giorgio.
La facciata pulita e lineare è scandita da paraste. Nella parete nord-est della costruzione troviamo l’elegante struttura della torre campanaria. Essa venne realizzata nelle forme attuali tra il 1796 e il 1809, anno in cui fu approntato il castello delle campane.
Ammirevoli le decorazioni lignee realizzate dai Trainini.
Mura, as well as for the landscape, is famous for its parish church dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta which, thanks to its baroque majesty, is considered among the most beautiful in Valle Sabbia.
The enormous proportions of the building amaze compared to the modest size of the town. 63 meters long and 23 meters wide, it is, after the parish church of Bagolino, the largest church in the valley. It was built on an ancient pleban church; today's construction was completed in 1706. The consecration took place on 1 October 1715.
In the Parish Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary Assumption into heaven there are the following altars: Major of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary; of San Carlo; of the Most Holy Rosary; of San Giorgio.
The clean and linear façade is marked by pilasters. In the north-east wall of the building we find the elegant structure of the bell tower. It was built in its present form between 1796 and 1809, the year in which the castle of bells was prepared.
The wooden decorations made by Trainini are admirable.
